2. What these terms cover
These English-language terms cover browsing this website, reading its content, sending an enquiry and using the eligibility check. Browsing and using these forms is free.
Paid-program agreements are arranged separately with the visa sponsor handling your program: CIEE, CHI, AJ1 or Spirit Cultural Exchange. This website does not provide a checkout or take payment. A form submission or eligibility result does not create a paid-program contract, reserve a position or commit you to paying a fee.
The terms supplied for a particular paid service govern that agreement. Nothing here changes an existing agreement or removes your mandatory consumer rights.
3. Using the website
Please use the website lawfully and provide accurate information when contacting us or checking eligibility. Do not impersonate someone else, submit malicious material, attempt to access the team dashboard without authorisation or interfere with the website's security or operation.
These terms set out the conditions for using the website. Simply browsing does not count as accepting paid-service terms, requesting early performance of a paid service or consenting to marketing.
4. Program information and eligibility results
We make reasonable efforts to keep our program information accurate. Positions, fees, requirements and availability can change. Confirm the current details with our team before making travel plans or entering into an agreement.
The eligibility check compares your answers with program rules and produces an initial result. It may end early if your answers do not meet the current requirements. A result is not a guarantee of placement, sponsor acceptance, a visa or admission to the United States. Contact us if you believe a result is incorrect or would like our team to review your circumstances.
Information about visas, sponsors, taxes and legal requirements is general information, not legal, immigration or tax advice. Confirm requirements with the relevant authority, sponsor or a qualified adviser.
5. External websites and referral links
The website links to independent services, including visa sponsors, tax preparation services and social media platforms. Some links are referral links. Their services, terms and privacy practices are their own. We do not control their websites, and a link does not guarantee a result or replace their terms.
6. Copyright and other rights
Our original text, branding and design are protected by applicable intellectual property law, including Hungarian Act LXXVI of 1999 on Copyright. Third-party photographs, logos and other materials remain subject to their owners' rights and applicable licences.
You may read the website and share links for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reusing our protected content for other purposes requires permission unless the law permits it. Nothing here restricts statutory exceptions or gives you rights to third-party material that we cannot grant.
7. Availability and liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the website available and working, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page is always free of errors. Please report problems to info@usaintern.club.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss caused solely by relying on general information instead of obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances. This does not exclude responsibility for misleading statements or obligations we have under a separate service agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intentional wrongdoing, harm to life, physical integrity or health, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We also do not seek to exclude liability for gross negligence. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Paid services and withdrawal rights
Any applicable information about prices, payment, cancellation, refunds and consumer withdrawal rights must be provided with your separate paid-service agreement before you enter into it.
Where Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.) applies to a distance service contract, consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw, subject to the statutory conditions and exceptions. Starting a service during that period and any loss of the withdrawal right require the applicable legal conditions to be met. Browsing this website or submitting an enquiry does not waive those rights.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
Send a complaint to info@usaintern.club or by post to our registered seat. We respond to written consumer complaints within 30 days as required by Hungarian Act CLV of 1997 on Consumer Protection, and retain complaint records as the law requires.
If we cannot resolve a consumer dispute, you may contact the Budapest Conciliation Board. We have not made a general declaration of submission to the Board's decisions. This does not limit our legal duty to cooperate or comply with a decision that is binding under applicable law.
- Budapest Conciliation Board: 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99., I. em. 111.; postal address: 1253 Budapest, Pf. 10.; bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu; contact and procedures.
- Budapest consumer protection authority: Budapest Főváros Kormányhivatala, Fogyasztóvédelmi Főosztály, 1117 Budapest, Prielle Kornélia utca 4/b.; fogyasztovedelem@bfkh.gov.hu; official contact information.
Consumers in another EU country can also ask the European Consumer Centre in their country for help. You do not have to give up your right to bring a claim in court to use a complaint or conciliation procedure.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Hungarian law. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections provided by mandatory law that applies to you, including applicable protections in your country of habitual residence.
The competent courts are determined by applicable jurisdiction rules. Nothing here requires a consumer to bring a claim exclusively in Budapest or limits any right to bring proceedings in their country of residence.
11. Personal data
Our forms collect the details you submit so we can respond to enquiries and check program eligibility. The eligibility check asks for age in years, not a full date of birth. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in a message.
For information about your data or to exercise your privacy rights, email info@usaintern.club. These terms do not replace a separate privacy notice or constitute consent to additional data processing.
12. Other authorities
Which authority can help depends on the issue. Check its current procedures before submitting a formal complaint.
- Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH): 1026 Budapest, Riadó u. 5-11.; ugyfelszolgalat@gvh.hu; gvh.hu. Competition and commercial-practice matters within its jurisdiction.
- National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH): 1015 Budapest, Ostrom u. 23-25.; info@nmhh.hu; +36 1 457 7100; nmhh.hu. Matters within its statutory remit.
- National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH): 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11.; postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9.; ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu; naih.hu. Personal data and privacy complaints.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the website, our services or the law changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Updates do not retrospectively change paid-service contracts already concluded.
